Wendy King transformed my courtyard and outdoor living areas.   The courtyard went from ordinary to amazing.  Wendy changed the pots, plants and furniture to create a look much more compatible with the house and is far more elegant.  One of the many things that I appreciated is that Wendy had my existing furniture refinished, which gave it a new look, at a fraction of the cost of buying new.  
 
Wendy also created a garden off the master bedroom patio.  The garden has a very "resort" look with flowering plants that are easy to maintain and beautiful through the year.   Wendy knows the type of plants that do well in this climate so everything she planted survived. 
 
She also repositioned the furniture and plants on all of the covered patios to create a look that is inviting, consistent among the outdoor living areas, and useful.  Regardless of the weather we now have a lovely place to be outside with furniture and plants that are easy to maintain and beautiful. 
 
Personally Wendy is delightful to work with.  She quickly understood the look I wanted, what was need to make the house show well, and my ability (limited) to maintain the areas.   Wendy is the ultimate in reliability.  Things are done on time and in budget.

We began working on our new home's landscaping plan mid 2008 with Wendy King. It was an ambitious project, set for three stages, on 2.75 acres to be completed over several years.   Wendy created an overall design for the lot; covering the front entry, a wooded area, screening the closest home to us, an outdoor kitchen and bar, a six hole putting green/play area, the pool and deck, a hot tube area, the sunken citrus grove, Cathy's private garden, and preserving the remaining natural desert landscape.  Wendy suggested exceptional people to work on this project; the landscaping company, iron working and fencing company, several nurseries for plants and trees, a couple of rock/boulder suppliers, a pool company and the artificial green installer, to name a few.  The original three stages became one long stage, because my wife and I had to see the final design now, not over time.  Throughout the project, Wendy was open to modification of the design plan as the house changed and some areas expanded and others shrunk.  The citrus garden in the dog run was a wonderful after-thought which Wendy put together in a couple of days.  It was a joy to work with this intelligent, creative woman for the last three years.  She is delightful and fun to work with, we would highly recommend her for any size landscape project.

We found Wendy King to be great to work with.  Our backyard was just dirt and although I had a few ideas of what I wanted, I found it all so overwhelming.  She came up with a landscape plan that we really liked, had some great suggestions. She suggested great workers for us and In no time at all we were sitting out back enjoying our yard. All our plants have grown and we're enjoying our cool deck so much.

We had our landscape designed by Wendy King of River Road Designs.Now that our backyard is completed,we are enjoying a beauitifully landscaped and designed outdoor area. Wendy spent a lot of time perfecting the design and getting our approval for everything she did. When we wanted something different she would kindly tell us why she thought it would be better to do it the way she sugessted. She was very patient with our ignorance of the desert landscape and very wise in her decisions. She advised us on the differt plants and different designs that would be best for our yard. She tried her best to suggest the best contractors for us and her contacts here are many as she has been in Tucson and the nursery business for so long. All of the contractors suggested by Wendy were professional, friendly and honest. When we were concerened about some wires being expossed in our backyard on a Saturday morning , she called an electrician for us in twenty minutes to check it out. Fortunatly, it was nothing to worry about , but her concern for our safety was real and her desire to have it rectified immediatly was personal as well as profesional.

The pool is beauitifu,as well as the patio around the pool.She helped with the decorating of the patio and made it into a gathering place. before, we could not sit near the pool as there was no room for a patio or place for furniture.Now we have a place to sit and talk while we enjoy a glass of wine and view the beauitiful Pusch Ridge. Wendy also designed the wrought iron gates and fencing surrounding the pool which made the area much safer and more beautiful. The hand- crafted,custom made wrought iron is a one of a kind piece which was specifically designed to meet our needs. The back yard wall trellises are also works of art. The climbing roses will be beauitiful climbing up the hand- crafted trellises. Our back yard has been transformed into a Mediterrean paradise.

Wendy is an expert in her field as I quickly found out. She is also fun to be with, while shopping for pots, fabrics and patio furniture. She and I both feel we will continue our friendship even though the project has been completed. I wouldn't hesitate to use her again for any other landscape project. She was a joy to work with and learn from.Thank you Wendy!
